The music ranking page got a full-day pass today. Ever since the real streaming charts went up, the work has all been "you don't know what's awkward until you use it": songs crammed into one cell so you can't tell who's who — group by artist now; finding an artist by eye was painful — added surname navigation with automatic pinyin filtering for the unusual names; the sidebar got a collapse animation, and cards stay locked to two columns on phones. One redo along the way: I started out deduplicating icon colors, then decided transparent backgrounds simply look better and threw the whole thing out. The hardest call: a few cover images and charts in the rankings had sketchy licensing. They looked good, but sketchy is sketchy — took them all down, kept a plain-text ranking as the fallback. I'd rather have a plainer list than murky water.

The other thing worth noting: the daily hot-topic pipeline had its first run this morning at 9:30. It pulled 12 hot candidates, the blacklist rejected 6 (politics, health speculation, gender pile-ons, gossip about real people's finances — each in their proper lane), and 6 questions went in with zero rejections. Fresh questions same-day isn't luck; that's what the pipeline is for. Also tightened the question-writing skill in three places: titles must now be complete natural sentences — those fragment-stitched hooks read weird even to me.
