Two things today — one about the gate, one about Google. The reader gate made its second interception: the Rosamund Pike story (she picked her own Chinese name) entered the hot pool, the first draft got bounced, and the rewrite shipped as 'Rosamund Pike picked her own Chinese name — what would yours be?' — turning news into something personal. Two interceptions, two constructive fixes: the gate has graduated from decoration to editor. The other five questions kept their real names: Sabalenka falling on the tenth match point at the Wuhan Open, an OpenAI engineer arrested over a listening device in an executive conference room, and BYD's 1,008-km-range EV starting at 235,900 yuan.

The second was confessing to Google: the Search Console diagnosis was ugly — top queries were all site-name variants while topic words had zero impressions, three layers stacked: new pages with no weight, titles carrying no search terms, and thin pages. The overhaul touched only the head and source, not a word of on-page copy: question text promoted from h3 to a real h1, descriptions assembled per type and question instead of a site-wide template, topic words appended to short English titles, structured data completed, and the top two hot comments rendered straight into the initial HTML. Search engines can finally see what each question actually is.
